A Design Web for CS345

Tech Stack: HTML, CSS, JavaScript
Project Overview
🦶 Carbon Tiptoe is a web-based carbon footprint calculator designed for my Human-Computer Interaction course.
The project focuses on applying HCI principles to deliver an intuitive and aesthetically minimalist user experience.
🎨 Design Concept
The brand concept is embedded in both visual identity and interaction design:
- A custom-designed logo featuring a globe and footprints, symbolizing our environmental impact.
- A two-tone color scheme using #B32428 (brand red) and #F5F2E9 (warm white) for visual contrast and cleanliness.
- A natural rose background image was used in the registration page to match the brand color and offer a calming visual.
🔧 Technologies Used
- HTML for structure
- CSS for layout and styling
- JavaScript for interactivity
✅ Heuristic Evaluation Integration
- Visibility of System Status: Clear landing message and purpose.
- Consistency and Standards: Uniform navigation and button styling.
- Error Prevention: Input placeholders to guide user entries.
- Aesthetic and Minimalist Design: Reduced clutter for high scanability.
